Cholderton Yobi is a fine example of selective breeding within the Cleveland Bay Breed. He is genetically invaluable to the conservation of the genetic bank of this much endangered  breed. His sire Midshipman was a premium stallion throught his life, from the inception of the scheme. Midshipman played a huge part in the regeneration of the fine herd of Clevelands at the Cholderton Estate. He also produced many premium sons, including Forest Fenman Pacific Swell and her Majesty the Queens Forest Foreman. Many of Midshipmans sons have gone abroad to fly the flag for the Clevelands. In recognition of his lifetime achievements for the breed the CBHS awarded him a lifetime premium. Cholderton Yobi's maternal grandam Greenfield Phoebe is by  Clutha Comet. He is the sire of Tarentella, the partbred mare that is the leading mare in the BHD rankings by progeny winnings. Interestingly one of the studs key mares, Pembridge Verity, is by the same mare Tarantella

Cholderton Yobi is an outstanding example of the breed He is powerful and athletic and totally correct in his conformation.
