Sire Minstrel Star Dam Ebbw Selina Pembridge Katrina has wonderful substance, with a leg at each corner. Although an exciting jumping prospect in view of her inherited ability. She has something that sets her appart. Her presence and natural carriage surely destine her for the county show and working hunter classes. Smaller than all her other brothers and sisters, she measures up at about 15.3.With her conformation, movement and jump, coupled with her look at me, small hunter classes could well be her forte until he competition career can begin in the disciplines.Already a proven broodmare with her foal on an International Yard, she has it all before her now competing with owner rider Jenny Grey- Wallace Pembridge Julietta. Minstrel Star This British bred group winning TB was owned by Josie Verkerk, the breeder of Stunner Rascal. Josie a very successful race trainer and breeder of racehorses and eventers, sent Minstrel Star back to England so that British breeding had the benefit of access to this British bred sire. Since retiring from racing he had stood at stud in Holland and Belgium. While in Belgium he passed his 100 day performance test, thus under Belgian rules he is one of the few race TB’s licensed to cover Warmbloods. He was already thus proven as a Sire in Europe, via his progeny. His first British bred foal is the young part-bred Cleveland Bay Stallion Pembridge Minstrel. This successful stallion in his second season on the event circuit is consistently in the frame and at eight is already advanced. He is the leading stallion in the top ten living Sires under ten years old in The BHD rankings and is currently second in the senior rankings. He recently represented GB at Breda where he came second in his first International Event.. As he came to England at the end of his European stud season Minstrel Star only covered one late mare that year. We are therefore extremely fortunate that the result of that late mating gave us Pembridge Minstrel. It also gave us insight into the stamp of mare that we could best use to breed eventers from. Minstrel Star stayed at the Stud for 3 seasons. In that time he consistently covered quality mares. When he returned to his European stud duties he therefore left many good quality competition foals in England. Other progeny are now of an age where they can be brought on to compete.
